Expression Australia, formerly known as Vicdeaf, is a non-profit organisation established in 1884 and is the source of reference, referral, advice and support for people experiencing barriers to participation.
Expression Australia x Zoos Victoria - "Dinos at the Zoo"
We're proud to announce an Australian first partnership with Zoos Victoria! Expression Australia have worked alongside the Zoo on a Deaf-led translation project for their "Dinos at the Zoo" event to make sure it's accessible for the Deaf and hard of hearing community.
We have provided Auslan translations that can be accessed using QR codes for all of the dinosaurs across all four Zoos Victoria locations.
Bring your family along from the 29th of March to the 14th of July, 2024, to learn about these amazing creatures!
CEO Rebecca Adam was at yesterdays launch event and got to try out the new QR codes, as well as make some new prehistoric friends!

Learning Auslan by watching Auslan interviews is definitely the best way. I was able to pick up a lot of signs from this.
So useful . Im going to start Auslan in 2023 going to give a go. Excited but nervous
i appreciate all the videos and time taken to create these. unfortunately being new to AUSLAN some of the hand and finger movements are way too quick, blended with the next or not clear. also i find videos with speech as well as subtitles are wonderful. thank you again

Do you know why both nsw and Victoria cancelled Auslan interpreters for the latest press conferences? It seems fishy its happened in both states at the same time, curious as to why. Thank you and I hope they can do media work again soon

Looking tthrough my Auslan sign Langusage book printed in Victoria, some of the signs don't match up with the book. The book wasn't cheap. Feel like I wasted my money.

Now want people to wear masks in the shower , because then droplets are getting into the sewage and the government down there are picking up trace elements of Covid in the sewage . Once that water is treated and used for toilet water 💦 there could be splash back and some people are presenting with ass covid , Brett said maybe we could look at a mask for either cheek .
